About Oeshiki

“Oeshiki” is a Buddihist memorial service held every year over a three-day period to remember the illustrious memory of Nichiren Shonin.
On the eve of Nichiren Shonin’s anniversary (October 12th), which is called Otaiya, the temple is usually filled with 300,000 visitors.

Please come to meeting place and sign up for the tour between 17:00 and 20:30.

How to Get to Ikegami Honmon-ji Temple by Train

★From Shinjuku:
Take the JR Yamanote Line to Gotanda → transfer to the Tokyu Ikegami Line → Ikegami Station. 7-minute walk to the temple.

★From Shinagawa:
Take the JR Keihin-Tohoku Line to Kamata → transfer to the Tokyu Ikegami Line → Ikegami Station. 7-minute walk to the temple.

★From Haneda Airport :
Take the Keikyu Airport Line to Kamata → transfer to the Tokyu Ikegami Line → Ikegami Station. 7-minute walk to the temple.

From Kamata Station:
Take the Keikyu Airport Line to Keikyu Kamata Station. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the Tokyu Ikegami Line’s Kamata Station → take the Tokyu Ikegami Line → Ikegami Station. 7-minute walk to the temple.
